Gardner Bender sorts and packs food for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin

The Gardner Bender team volunteered to sort and pack food for Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin at their downtown Milwaukee location. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is a leading hunger-relief organization that provides quality, nutritious food to those who are in need. Feeding America has been around since 1982, and serves nearly 400,000 people in 36 counties, including 124,000 children and 41,000 seniors.
As a team, Gardner Bender employees sorted and packed approximately 14,000 pounds of food consisting of generic pantry items, frozen meats, and pre-made pizzas. This food was then shipped out to several charitable distribution centers that are capable of getting the meals to the families that need them.
